SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT

Oh there is so much to talk about and so little time. Well, I just missed making the top 10 of the famecast comedy competition but thanks to everyone who voted. It was not in vain; I had over 3,000 hits throughout the whole competition.

We just wrapped SUMMER'S MORN, an independent feature film with F3 Films, where I played an escaped prisoner who holds a housewife, her best friend and their cat hostage. yes, it's a comedy. Holla to Russ, Tracy, Kristin and Anna Lina. I enjoyed working with you all (Boom shadow). We're set to premiere in August so I'll keep you all posted of the date as soon as I hear.

Also, the SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKS comedy tour will be airing Friday, July 27th on CMT. Nashville comic Beth Donahue is on the bill so please check your local listings for the time. she is freakin' hilarious!

And finally, I'll be welcoming my nephew into the world sometime soon. we'll find out Thursday when they'll induce. I'll be birthin' a baby and taking a vacation all at the same time. Hooray for me-time!

ZANIES

Hey kidz. just a note. I'll be at Zanies in Nashville, TN this Wednesday(May 23rd) and at the Comedy Club at the Stardome in Birmingham, AL this Friday(25th). Both shows start at 7:30 pm. Zanies will let you in for $5 if you tell them you are a guest of one of the performers.

Also, I am hosting the white carpet festivities for the annual White Garment Affair to be held at Bar Twenty3 in Nashville, TN. the event costs $5 and begins at 9 PM. So, come dressed in your sexiest white outfit and be ready to party. Just think, you don't have to work the next day. yeah!!

OK, so you thought I was avoiding the subject of the make-out scene in my most recent movie. well you were right. :) It was my first on screen make-out scene ever but I think it went well. It's a tricky thing because you are trying not to look ridiculous while cameras capture one of the most intimate things people do. And the guy was fantastic. I won't tell you his name to protect the innocent but he is an intelligent, witty and funny guy so that made everything as easy as Sunday morning.

you'll have to see the movie to see how hot it turned out. Ha.

The White Garment Affair

hey kids. holy crap, I'm tired. I'm shooting this new movie on top of my full time job on top of every day life. hey but get this -- I'm making out with a hot guy wednesday night (for the movie of course). Hottie McHots. I'll fill you in later. In the meantime, I've been asked to work the "white carpet" at the White Garment Affair at Bar Twenty3 in Nashville, TN on May 27th. If you're in town that weekend (yes, that's Memorial Day weekend) then come on down to Bar Twenty3. Everything gets going at 9 PM and the cost is $5. The catch? you can ONLY wear white. good luck.

BERNEE's a Hit!!!

hey guys. Bernee's a hit! We just kicked off the film festival circuit for "Bernee" in Huntington, WV and Galax, VA and it was great. Our movie took third place for feature length movies in the WV fest and yours truly won best actress for the VA fest. We logged in over a thousand miles in three days but man what a weekend. I look forward to another one!

Great News!!!

hey guys, great news! BERNEE, the movie I did last year, has been called upon to kick off a film festival in Virginia on April 19th; and I will be in attendance. I hope this will be the first of many festivals for BERNEE as she is a fun-lovin' gal who loves a good party. The new film that I am in is titled DESPERATE IN DIXIE based on a chick who is trying to find her way in life. She dates a few crazies on the way and eventually decides to continue her dream of acting. sound like anybody you guys know? I'll keep you posted on this one as well.

Also, I just got back from South Carolina, where I was born and raised. Had a little quality time with the fam and played in a college alumni soccer game. I'm lucky I didn't seriously injure someone (myself I mean). My sister is pregnant and we found out it's gonna be a boy. Ya-hoo. To say my brother-in-law was excited would be an understatement.

And last but not least, I've got a couple of comedy shows coming up. ZANIES in Nashville, TN this Wednesday (3/28) @ 7:30 PM and THE BELCOURT THEATER in Nashville, TN on April 13th @ 8 PM. Please come out and support live comedy. There's nothing like it.

I'm "Desperate"

Hey guys. Well, things have been nuts the last week. I MC'd a show at ComedyTN in Memphis on the 18th and the club was great! A big holla to those guys. Then I did a showcase set at Bongo Java on the 20th. thanks to Rik for putting that together. Today I got back into the movie business if you will. I have the leading role in another independent feature film titled "Desperate In Dixie." We began shooting today and it went smooth as chunky peanut butter so I'm looking forward to the next few months. :)

"Desperate" is about a young woman (me!) who attempted acting as a career, became frustrated with her lack of success and came home to question her life. Everyone suggested she should get married and have babies for happiness so she spends the better part of the movie dating one guy after the other. She finally realizes that she must find happiness within herself before she can move on in any part of her life. I'm not going to tell you the ending because you may very well say "No way, Heather is playing this role?!"

WOW !!!!

Wow!! What an evening! Well, ladies and gentlemen the night has come and gone. The premier of 'Bernee' went fantastic. I had no idea what to expect as approx 10 of my peeps backed out at the last minute. I'm not gonna call you out, you know who you are. Some of you had good excuses. My friend Kim for instance is at the SunDance Film Festival. OK, now that's one helluva an excuse. But once I arrived I knew we would be OK. The vibe was amazing. We had over 160 people there tonight. I took my seat in the center of the row slumping down as I normally do when I watch myself on screen. I'm usually one of those actresses who watches her film with one hand over her eyes because she is overly critical of everything: can you see my zits? is my butt too big? why is that hair out of place? who brought the cat? OK the last one I made up but you get the picture. But this time was different. this time I sat with one hand covering my mouth to filter the giggles. I actually enjoyed my performance. Thanks to everyone for your kind words afterwards and I want to especially thank the Crings who put out one freakin' good film.

On a more featherly note, I went from signing autographs to signing a cop's ticket. That's right, I got pulled over by one of Gallatin's finest on the way home for none other than a headlight and a brakelight being out. What the, are you kiddin me? Can I not enjoy my glorious evening and continue to prance around on cloud nine? Apparently not. But I will say this: he was kinda hot; the cop that is. and very sweet. he gave me a citation and as long as I take care of the lights I will not get "billed" so to speak. so, Mr. Copper, Mr. Po-Po whoever you are, thank you. ;)

holy crap I have to work tomorrow. back to reality. well guys I'll keep you posted on future films and upcoming comedy gigs. thank you all for supporting BERNEE. see you soon.
