Universal Citywalk's Holiday Extravaganza

Jeff and I went to Universal Citywalk at Universal Studios for a night of holiday cheer.  We saw "A Christmas Carol" in 3D/IMAX and checked out the Santa working the Walk.  He was a good one.  He got up and stretched occasionally which is important for Santa.  You don't want to cramp up in the middle of an ask.  It could be mistaken for something else.  Anyway, check out this pic Jeff took of the square.

5 Comics and a Side of Fries

Hey, hey again from rainy LA!  That's right, it's raining in LA and you would've thought it was the end of the world the way these people react.  They call it a "terrible storm."  OK let's get something straight here people, I've lived through hurricanes and tornadoes.  This is simply -- rain.  As Conan said "Your roof is not made of cotton candy -- relax!"  I can only liken it to how us Southerners react to snow.  With a light dusting we run out and buy up all the milk and bread at the grocery stores because it could possibly be the year that it doesn't melt in 3 hours and we have to go 24 hours without milk and bread.

But I digress.  Just a quick note, I love this holiday season and the time I use to reflect on this past year and prepare for the upcoming year.  But before that happens, I'm gonna do a little comedy.  H2F Comedy Productions hosts 5 Comics and a Side of Fries at Michael's Bar and Grill on W. Olive Blvd in Burbank, CA Tuesday, December 29th.  Show time is 9:00 PM and the food is actually good.  So, come out for some comedy and food to usher out 2009!  :)  See you there!

New dates added!

New shows to add to the schedule!  I'll be doing stand up this coming Sunday and Monday.  Sunday (15th) will be at Olive's Bistro & Lounge in the Anabelle Hotel at 2011 W. Olive Ave in Burbank, CA.  Show starts at 8 PM.  A hotel crowd -- should be interesting.  Half sloshed, half asleep -- just what I'm looking for.

Lazy Sunday

Well so far today it's been a lazy Sunday, not something I've had in the past several months.  It's nice to actually wake up without an alarm, read the newspaper, go for a jog if I want to.  I did go for a jog this morning.  I jogged about 3 miles then came home and ate 3 chocolate chip/PB cookies left over from the night before.  The night before of course I ate 3 of these same cookies.  I love my chocolate and peanut butter.  I think the Reese's PB cups are the greatest invention since laser cats.  I like my peanut butter in my chocolate just like I like my lasers in my cats.  I'm just sayin'...

Icky Sicky

Well I thought I had survived all the kiddos coughing and sneezing in my face on a daily basis and my boyfriend's apparent brush with piggy flu.  But, alas I am not invincible.  I am not Marky Mark in an Eagle's uniform.  I officially have a cold -- drippy nose, puffy eyes, the longing for hot cocoa, bunny slippers and flannel pjs.  It's the worst feeling especially when it's 90 degrees out.  What's up with that LA? It's freakin 90 degrees in November!  All I ask for is a change in seasons.  Some kind of signal to let me know that Turkey day fast approaches and that I'll be spending a few days with the fam getting no rest whatsoever.  I think I'm gonna take an icky sicky day and make paper snowflakes to hang around my apartment.  Maybe I'll use glitter.

Uncle Clyde's Comedy Contest

OK, Uncle Clyde's - take 2.  Here's the deal, the last time (a few weeks ago) that I was supposed to compete in this contest it got canceled.  Most of it had to do with people not coming out to the show because of rain.  That's right, rain.  People in LA get freaked out by rain, that wet stuff that waters our plants and occasionally gives our cars a natural bath.  I can't imagine what these people would do in a hurricane but I digress.

Fortunately they've rescheduled the contest.  So here's the scoop, November 4th at 8 PM in the Annex Room at the Ice House Comedy Nightclub, 24 N. Mentor Ave, Pasadena, CA.  For discounted tickets go to  www.ComedyCasting.com  and click on the November 4th show.  And tell them you're coming to see me!

Halloween Time Again!

OK, I have a friend who hates Halloween.  And I'm like, hey man, who peed in your cornflakes?  Relax, have some chocolate.  I think she is one of those that never dressed up as the sexy nurse and is therefore taking it out on the world.  "Why are we celebrating death?" she says.  Well maybe cuz when something scares the crap out of ya there is a certain rush that makes you feel good eventually.  It's like on a roller coaster -- same principle.  Me personally, I like a little monster mash, a little candy corns, a lot of chocolate and being sexy once a year.  Did I mention the chocolate?

So for all you haters out there -- have some Hershey's and shut up.  You may actually enjoy yourself.

Paranormal Activity

Just saw a screener version of Paranormal Activity and supposedly the ending is different from the version in theatres.  And apparently I don't know anyone who's seen it yet so if you've seen it at the movies, message me and tell me what happened!  I'm dying to know!  OK, possibly poor choice of words.
